Company Info

S. J. Wood Construction Company was established in 1980 by Stephen J. Wood and incorporated in 1983. Originally intending to follow the family tradition of becoming an engineer, Steve soon realized that his interests were more varied than working with a slide rule. Beginning with a new truck payment and a few of the basic tools, Stephen started out as a one man operation building only one home per year.

S. J. Wood Construction Company grew steadily for a 15 year period to the point where we felt we could offer a valuable service with customer satisfaction in both custom residential and light commercial construction. We have remained at that level since, with no intentions of growing any larger.

Our goal is to build a quality product with the end result being a satisfied customer. We can start from a basic idea and provide you with a complete design or we can work from your plans. We will build on your lot or one that you purchase from us in one of the three subdivisions that we currently own. Commercial or residential, we can assist you from site development to the finished product.
